How You Can Help Us

Thank you so much for all of your words of support and encouragement in response to our announcement that our store will be closing this month. It is so lovely to know that you have appreciated Scoop Marketplace and it has made a difference in your life, and I am grateful to know that the work we have done has had a positive impact, even though it didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. We have a lot to do to wrap things up over the next couple of weeks. Here are some ways you can help: Help us find a new tenant. We need someone to take over the lease of this retail space ASAP. The Future Of Scoop Marketplace

It breaks my heart to say this, but I have made the very difficult decision to close the Scoop Marketplace store this month. After several months of searching for a buyer to keep the shop open, I still have not found anyone who is ready to take this adventure on, and it is time for me to close the doors and give myself a fresh start. I have given this store everything for the last 5 years &  I have learned as much as I could to build and run this business. Introducing The 1/3 Pledge!

We're coming to you with a fun new project this week, and we cannot wait to get you on board! Our vision for Scoop is that we are able to contribute to building a sustainable future in which everyone can thrive. Just imagine what we could accomplish if a...

Scoop Marketplace is for sale!

After many months of deliberation, I have decided to sell the store. I’m guessing you’re probably wondering why. In fact, you might even be somewhat shocked or surprised to hear that I would be willing to let my business baby go. This decision certainly wasn't made lightly and I am thankful to have the opportunity to share with you some of the reasons that have brought me to this particular conclusion. Ordinarily it would take a nice long visit over several cups of tea to share the whole story, but I will do my best to give you the shortened version.  My first and most important reason is my family. When I got the idea for Scoop, I had a toddler...

Closing the 2021 Chapter

Whoa. I don't know about you, but I'm still feeling more than a little bit shell shocked after the whirlwind of 2021.  Lots of things happened in 2021. Good things, bad things, frustrating things, exciting things.... it was definitely a year of growth, though not exactly the growth that I was expecting. In 2021 our store went from this:  To this:  We had many ups and downs with permitting delays, construction challenges, and even a kitchen fire.  Our store was completely transformed, and our team went through a lot of changes as well. I'll be the first to admit, with all of the uncertainty and long drawn out delays, this was a very difficult environment to work in, and while my...
