First Use: 

​To sanitize and preshrink, boil filters in fresh water for 10 minutes.


  • ​Set filters in pourover equipment.

  • Add measured amount of coarsely ground coffee.

  • Bloom grounds with fresh filtered water, shortly off the boil.

  • Thoroughly wet the grounds with a circular pour, keep the grounds slightly submerged, till the desired amount of water is used. 

  • Remove filter when it is cool enough to handle.

  • Discard grounds.

  • Rinse filter thoroughly and hang to dry. 

Sanitize and Renew: 

  • When contaminated, used with perishable foods.

  • When flow becomes restricted due to coffee oil buildup; rinse thoroughly, boil once or twice for 10 minutes. Discard stained water boils. Rinse till water runs clear.
